I'm already lazy to cook for 2 people and only cook on special occassions coz I hate cleaning up after cooking

I am a 'Mood Person' and that extends to cooking as well! I can plan to cook certain dishes but on the day itself, it all depends on my mood!
So, I have fish fillets, salmon fillets, prawns, scallops, and minced pork frozen in my freezer, but sometimes, when I make a spur of the moment decision to cook something, I find that I can't defrost the items fast enough.
I don't have a microwave oven and anyways, they don't do a very good job of defrosting either. -

I've heard SL warn me that the cockroaches here, like the houseflies, are ang moh sized and much larger and sinister looking than the ones in SG!!

I have my insecticide on standby liao, just before winter ended, and I also have an outdoor spray that's supposed to keep the insects from entering your house via the doorway / windows for months too! I just hope it works cause I don't have a hero in my life who can kill the pests for me now! -

Sometimes, I prefer to cook a few dishes and split them into smaller portions in li'l containers and then bring them to work. Yesterday, I cooked two portions of Chives with Tofu in a Chilli Bean Sauce and one portion of that Broccolini, so that will make three meals in total. These days, I cook one cup of rice and split it into two to keep in the fridge.
So, it all depends on my mood.
And, Fatum, you have to eat well! How to keep yourself healthy like that?!
I do have some semblance of planning after I return home from the market / supermart / grocery shops with my haul. I read recipe mags and books or just sit there and think about what I have and what new dishes I can cook, so one purchase of minced pork can be split into two and cooked in two different ways. So half of my minced pork became a very savoury Minced Pork Ball with Gravy and the other half is sitting in my freezer waiting for me to turn it into Ma Po Tofu! -
I found a dead cockroach in the empty spare room when I was cleaning the place on Sat Chris was not home so I had to clear it's body and it was a experience for me

Or, I've used a broom to sweep the cockroach up against the kitchen wall and out of the window! Never had to go near it at all!
Or, rolled up newspaper and used it like a golf stick again to swipe the darn thing outta the door and into the corridor again!

Or, have a few quick and simple recipes that you can use to make dinner with, and cook extra for lunch the next day!
You can have variety and not spend too much time in the kitchen if you plan ahead. -

I just bought a jar of new French Mustard with Honey from Kraft and another jar of the new Perinaise, a marriage of mayo and Peri sauce. And I got a Garlic Foccacia bread for the knockdown price of A$2 nia! With a can of tuna, and my trusty toaster (that continues to shock me), breakfast tomorrow and the next day, and maybe even the next too, is solved liao! -
