You said it. When we lived in Japan, they were forever upgrading their phones. And phones there are so cheap and so advanced. Like the camera phone feature, so old in Japan but kinda new here. and a lot of parents i know seem to think that its a good way to check up on their kids
and since in singapore most parents work full time and hardly spend time with their kids, they 'reward' them with material stuff.
and ALL the kids have it, so some parents also think that...since A has it, my kids should have it too!
