Asked a gal to come sgforums cos there is so many more eligible and nice gentlemen here that she can and should date.
And I told her I met and know you guys are safe and nice people.
She goes.....She does not want to know anymore internet guys, they are creeps.
I was like: WTF! I am giving you the recommendation and you here throw it back in my face! So cheesed off with her because she keeps dating the wrong kind of bastaards.
I was f-ffing all the way now at the comp. Making my blood boils way too fast. -

Actually, I can see her point.
There ARE lots of creepy guys (and girls) on the internet. Desperate, horny, and very creepy. Some might even be serial killers.
The problem is, if her lifestyle is such that she doesn't really get the chance to meet guys on the outside, she'll have to take her chances in cyberspace.
BTW, what is the kind she keeps dating?

I don't matchmake my friends, never bothered to do it. I don't think they'll appreciate me meddling or sounding like a Smug Married . And I think everyone has their assets and technique on how to "work it", it's difficult to instruct people on what to do. The most I can do is maybe to create opportunities like bring a friend along at parties, and if it happens it happens. (And believe me SOMEONE has to MAKE it happen, we're not in fantasyland where miracles happen.) I'm not gonna push her or him to anyone
I think the bigget deterrent and stumbling block that people have when it comes to looking for partners is a closed mind. I've observed that friends who basically have an open attitude to things and activities and people, even without MEANING to get hooked up, find plenty of good options simply because they know more people and are involved in a larger variety of stuff. Whereas people who don't wanna try anything new due to a variety of reasons..... well. They just hope for something new to come up in old existing circumstances... -

PS. She keeps getting folks that arent never truthful with her, refusing to acknowlege her as her g/f in public, and simply wanting her to be a mistress which they can borrow money from.
From what I can see, she is just those simple straight minded gal. Can cook, confirm a good mommy with her one mindedness. And she looks very very sweet, with dimples and is like those lovely kingdergarden teachers...
Hate to see such good wiffy motherly materials go to waste. -
