  the gabrament beats the heck out of the pockets of its citizens because they feel they can.. heck! some of the citizens bend over to let the gabrament do so!

  btw, i've always believed that you only have as much rights as you are willing to fight for and defend... here, a lot of people are too apathetic to do so, and some think they should offer themselves up to the powers...
  
  maybe it's just me.. i've always stuck to my belief that the higher you go, the more you serve.. and not to be served..

  then i realised something... you are only as happy as you want to be.. and for simple people like me, i'll adapt anywhere...
  
  i've got folks at home and certain responsibilities... i could work overseas, but all i'd be doing is trading in these set of problems for another set of problems...
  
  they can be overcome but ultimately, it comes back to this.. i'll decide to be happy there, just as much as i'll decide to be happy here... and right here, my folks are getting on and me being around, could be a comfort to them..
  
  Singapore's not that bad a place, but could be better... as a citizen of any country, isn't it the responsibility of the citizen to ensure that the gabrament stays honest? i think so..
  
  so we do what we can...
