i had a killer week..
and until the bloody project is finished, it'll be tough
in fact, i'm facing a brutal beginning next year.. 3 people in my section.. boss, someone else and myself..
someone else is due to be transferred.. boss was promoted last year, her rank too high for this post.. which means they may both be transferred...
i'll be the one running the whole section when that happens -
that'll be like promotion for you too wouldn't it ? ...

Yup, rock the boat, annoy the wrong people, and you'll never smell the chance of a promotion. Or you need is at least one person in senior management who hates your guts. it's easy for brown nosers to climb high because they'll agree to anything.. then make others do the work while claiming all the credit...
due to the lack of ethics and morality, it is so easy for them to insist on doing the wrong thing..
when someone tells them they are wrong, they will take it personally and bear a grudge forever..
look at the people in power now for a clear illustration of what is wrong with people clamouring for position.. -

Hmmm...and now they going to raise the pay for all civil servants because of the resignation rate? Not that I'm complaining but perhaps they're missing the plot. None of the people I know who quit did so because they were unhappy with the pay.

Which is why the issue of raising pay caught me by suprise. I was under the impression they WANTED more people to resign, with all the talk on reducing headcount and manpower costs.
