i'm not a violent person but if i felt things were going to be so hopeless that i'd have to die, i'm making sure a lot of things get changed before i top myself..

if that's the case, the perhaps the shrinks can profile people who're at a high risk of suicide, no ? ...
none of us lives for ourselves alone, suicide is the most selfish thing you can do ....
look at the chap who threw himself down the MRT tracks .... I may sound harsh saying so, but I feel sorry only for the family he left behind to face the troubles he so conveniently left behind ..... -

And there's the stigma against mental illness, especially depression in Singapore. those suffering from it are just told to "buck up", "suck it up", or are chatised for having poor stress management skills or something.
