Bear does look Japanese!
Actually here, I've had one Japanese guy walk briskly over to me and start talking Japanese to me cause he thought I was a Jap and was very happy!
My friend, who can speak Jap, found out that he was lonely here and thought I could be his long-awaited-for Japanese girlfriend! 
I've also had two Koreans walk up to me and ask me for directions (I think!) in Korean too! -

I got to fly back to USA for 3 months.
Nephew started school. Neice starts climbing. Nanny going back to China on 3 months leave.
So auntie here has to fly over!

They think that their Jazz scene here is so wonderful but look at the range of Jazz CD's on sale! Pathetic!! I've been to almost all the CD places in town and the selection is really sad!!
And New Age / Ambient? You can forget about it! Ibiza? Wonder if they've even heard of it!

I spent the whole of today watching a Korean TV series, "Wonderful Life".
Was supposed to stay home to accept delivery of some boxes but tamade... they are soooo *()@#$&*!@# inefficient here!
But nevermind, I fell sick after eating b'fast today anyways, so staying home was good. I steamed up some Chee Cheong Fun and made the sauce myself and it tasted so good but I think the shop didn't keep the Chee Cheong Fun cold enough and it probably turned bad, although it didn't taste bad at all.

Anyways, Josh Groban is big in SG and the States and elsewhere around the world, right? Here, they like have NEVER heard of Josh Groban!! They are like "Josh WHO??" In fact, I never even saw his new album around town until my SG friend mentioned it to me and it was only after she brought it to me when she visited me recently that the shops FINALLY started having it and only then, it was displayed in corners and not prominently displayed at all.
I am sooooo going to SHOP till I drop dead and go bankrupt when I return to SG next year! -

Got miss me or not? I was missing you guys shopping at PHuket Town as early as 7am.
Blady shops are open yet. We dropped half sister off at her school. Stepmom then has dim sum breakfast with me. Then I simply walk around trying to oriented myself to PHuket Town.
Lost my orientation anyway. But the place is actually pathetically small. Walk anywhere......and you will give up and go back to the same place.
So while shopping at Watsons. Buyings tons of cosmetic I dont use....I got the call from USA. Sis needs someone to cover her nanny. So I should try to fly over by Jan 13.
While I walked, shopped and think about it. It might be more worthwhile for me to go back SG and fly from there. Cos this time....I am bringing the whole wardorbe from home! Shopping in Phuket is perilious. I accidently chock up S$43 for handphone covers and accessories. I think I was conned!
Brought dozens of hang ten shorts....Expensive in a sense, but hey. I belive in brand loyalty.
Finally took a bike taxi back to Si-Re Island, but the rider mistook it for the Phuket Grocery Store. So we did a bit of detour, after I showed him the map. My pronounciation of Kon SiRay was correct. His colleuge told him the wrong thing.
Got back, but folks are not in. So I walked to the neighbourhood coffee shop of sorts, drank Singha Beer & a deep fried fish! Darn Shoik for a hot afternoon.
Then stopped a passing bike with foods stuffs and ordered off his rack. 6 pices of bbq cuttlefish.
I then run to the neighbourhood police station hoping to ask some questions. In the end, left them 3 cans of cold beer and the rest of cuttlefish as snack.
They dont speak english. And my command of thai is tourist standard.
I badly want to ask if its true that policeofficer of thailand keeps the fines. Cos its supplement their income. And its legal here.
And to ask about their guns. Strangely the police officers here dont seem to be carrying their arms. I want to know whether they buy their arms or was it subsidised by government. -

One thing I do like here, and that is, people here swear a lot and some of them swear quite freely too!
One of my favourite colleagues is this young girl who peppers her conversation with "F-CK!" a lot, and I do mean, A LOT!! Everytime you have a full-stop at the end of her sentence, try substituting it with F-CK and you get an idea of how she speaks!
I used that recently myself, when I got hold of my Christmas period roster. I glanced at it, and went, "F-CK!!!" and my colleagues were , then they and said that I'm becoming more Aussie! -
