But a Mrs AV who loves me will allow me to keep them. They take up only half a small room anyways. See, one of my criterias for a Mrs AV is that she must love reading and music as well. So its a moot point really.Originally posted by the Bear:i would abandon the books but not the reading (they collect a lot of dust anyway)
i would abandon the CDs but not the love of music (they're in the HDD anyway)
use things, love people
Well, lets just say I'll be willing to live with large shoe collections or whatever. But I draw the line if she's a serial killer who likes to keep her victim's heads in jars all over the houseOriginally posted by the Bear:ahh.. i would look at it this way.. concessions for you but no concessions for her?
well, moot perhaps... to me, books have usually been given away after reading and CDs are stashed away somewhere.. hopefully out of sight...
btw, CDs vein...
I think AV and Rhonda makes such a good pairOriginally posted by av98m:But a Mrs AV who loves me will allow me to keep them. They take up only half a small room anyways. See, one of my criterias for a Mrs AV is that she must love reading and music as well. So its a moot point really.

it's nice.. about 3 1/2 foot blade..

Its funny but.. yeah I used to think this way too. I used to spend a lot of time alone reading waiting for my parents to finish work (i.e. they dump me at Times at 9 am, and pick me up a 5 pm with allowance to buy lunch on my own during school holidays)Originally posted by av98m:But a Mrs AV who loves me will allow me to keep them. Yeah. The only books my hubby reads are those with picturesOriginally posted by ShrodingersCat:Its funny but.. yeah I used to think this way too. but when I met my husband, Hmm, he doesn't read much. Once I worry that might be a problem - how to share a good story?? He doesnt make fun of me when I laugh/cry when I read. (I dont make fun of him when he talks to his plants)
And I guess, sometimes the great thing about finding a Mr or a Mrs is that they show you the life BEYOND your own comfort zone, and share with you a set of different hobbies that you might never have discovered on your own.
Plus he lets me keep my book collection without complaining (even tidying it up when I leave my books EVERYWHERE around the house).
You know kitty, you really sound like your tarot cardOriginally posted by viciouskitty74:I thankfully dumped all my CDs & books with that friend with that over cluttered room when I flew. (Except for a boxful of lovely new age jazz CDs....I bet you dont know ROd Steward ever recorded Jazz music way before Robbie WIlliams did)
He has been very helpful offering me free storage.
In return, I gave all my collection of liqours, beer glasses and whatever that is related to drinks to his good friend.
Then I chucked out all the clothes, wearable and non wearable to friends & recycling bin.
Only things unable to dump out was my beautiful japense bowls & cups. Thankfully, my new tenant is utlising them now.
I tot to live my life out of a suitcase, but recent need to match everything saw me buying clothes for office, shoes & bags.....I have them all categorised so I always have complete sets of anything if I need it.
And they are going to sit unused for the next 3 months while I am travelling and staying in a home with kids.
hahha does yours also?? My SO (Which I keep thinking as SomeOne) grew up in Kampong so yeah has a thing about plants... nurture nurture..Originally posted by elindra:Yeah. The only books my hubby reads are those with pictures
