and btw ... knives' passe ... the in-thing right now are shears ... much better for fishing lines and nets, which are just about the only things the knives are used for anyways ... -

mine is the type that is completely blunt at the tip, so there is zero chance of accidentally stabbing someone. for cutting line and stuff, there is the saw edge along the side.
much safer to be self sufficient, because you never know when you will be separated and need to get help or be located. this means you carry your own light and surface marker too. I am so kiasu and kiasee that I even painted my name in large bold letters on the surface maker(also known as a safety sausage) -

Not much worried about suits & some breathing equipments lah.
Got lots of professional diver friends plus an old accquaintance that used to own a dive shop. He still has items in his home storeroom. I just need to go raid for things my size. -
