Frankly, we need besides Good Hiring managers that knows who will really suit what, and those supervisors that really knows what they want.
Too often, we have supervisors asking for staffs, but its simply to bulk up his department then utlising the person to get jobs done.
Ever worked for a company, their marketing department people was ever so busy securing circe de soleil ticks for the big bozz then answering any queires about the company services.
The whole marketing department refuses to take calls. -

like, one particular companies will have many openings, one friend will apply for one, when he was selected, he didnt realise he was being interviewed for another opening till halfway through the interview
and if he is lucky, he can match the job, if it doesnt, kind wasted
actually that is wat happened to me for my current job. except i got a better position then the one they advertised for
(btw i also forget which position i was being interviewed for. i went in thinking i was going for consultant level when the interview was junior/grad level) -
