Singapore's road lines are done with cheap china paints that are really slippery when wet.
I liked riding in the rain. But if it means I stay stuck behind a car. I will continue to do so. Not worth it risking a skid in between cars. You might go down scratching both cars and dont have enough space to manuver your bike upright from fallen positions. -

Nesides compensation issues, he also may have to pay traffic fines and demerit points. So likely he wont want to incurr more costs.

I still has not forgetten how my hit and run driver looks like. Nor his female passenger.

And you sending him to hospital, he would need to go thru much hassle, from getting someone to remove his bike to maybe checking on his licence.
Some folks dont have licence to ride you know?

i'm driving on the expressway and almost invariably, a motorcyclist will pass me on my left side in between 2 lanes...
i'll not be able to see him because its a blind spot..

Yes, my ex tells me a lot of those near misses also. Somehow, because its inside the compund, drivers thinks that traffic rules dont apply there cos its a special place. they must have thought that human there has green color blood. I'm most wary of larger vehicles like pickups, lorries, buses etc.
Their drivers are more likely to be motherfuckers
The other group I'm scared of are the ones driving luxury cars like mercedes. They also drive like they have the right to run down pedestrians.
However, the ones I detest the most are the CB cyclists who cycle on the pedestrian lanes/pavements and endanger everyone else. -

Lets say you are in the 1st lane, he rides and overtake you in the same lane from your left. he is doing so dangerously. Nothing much you can do except throw him a lecture which we do. Overtaking in a dangerous manner maybe.
If he was in the 2nd lane, and sharing the lane on the left, overtaking the car on his left. There is not much penalty for that.
However, if he skids, hits or gets into the accident. Careless driving/dangerous riding summons with demerits points for him.
Its a blurry lines of offence when riding in between cars. Unless an obvious accident happens. -

Same as collegues, they always seems to find it in them to always complain about how traffic police mistreat them.
But they are always very happy to know that cyclist arent suppose to be riding on pavements or riding acorss a zebra crossing.
Cyclist are suppose to step off their bikes to cross any crossing or zebra crossing to qualify them as pedestrain. Otherwise, its actually okay to run them down as motorist!
Got one ex collegue who later announce to me: "So! Next time! If a cyclist dares to shout at me for not letting him cross the zebra crossing on his bicycle, I can shout that fella back and runs him down and claim against him for damages to my car!" -

except one lot of people.. those drivers who drive at the rightmost lane at around 65km/h
keep to the left if you want to drive so slowly that you are a hazard to everyone! -

Seriously, these cyclists are a fucking menace, and many of them expect pedestrians to give way to them. Some of these CB fuckers will speed past you from behind without any sort of warning/signal and I know people who actually got seriously hurt being rammed by cyclists (i.e. hospitalised for 2 weeks)
and I'm seeing more and more of these fuckers along orchard road these days, some cannot even seem to cycle in a straight line!! -
