uhh.. 6 deliveries make an over... 11 batsmen for the defense which will allow them to score runs... so if 10 are out, they are considered "all out"... bowlers of the other team bowl the ball to wards the batsman.. each bowl is considered 1 delivery...
uhh... what else.. oh.. if the batsman hits the ball or even if he doesn't, he can make runs... his main job is to protect the wickets (those 3 stumps and 2 things balancing on them) by blocking or belting the ball away..
if he is running in between the wickets, the fielding side can knock the wickets off and if he does not make it to the line, he's out.. that's called a "run out"
if the bowler bowls him out, it means the batsman doesn't block the ball well enough and the ball hits the wicket.. he's out...
if the batsman's bat or glove touches the ball and the fielding team catches the ball before the ball touches the ground, he's out...
if the batsman's pads are hit by the ball in line with the wickets, he's out on an LBW or Leg Before Wicket...
uhhh.. oh.. scoring.. you score runs by hitting the ball and running across.. each time you do that, it's one run... unless you belt the ball hard enough and it reaches the boundary (usually indicated by a rope around the pitch), it's 4 runs and you don't have to run...
if you belt the ball and it goes out of bounds past the ropes before it touches the ground, that is, on the full, it's 6 runs and you don't have to run...
uhh.. the bowler's delivery can be called wide, high and all that too by the umpies..
uhh.. oh.. the bowler's arm must be straight
