ahhh.. a flexible boss.. that's good

one of the good things around

my boss just got promoted last year.. so her rank is out of whack with her position.. and her husband is a Dy Director of operations so people do listen...
but maybe it's where she came from, she's always politically correct and sometimes, politics come into play too much.. but that's from her side..
my organisation went through a merger.. i'm from one side and she's from the other.. thing is, before the merger, their side played dirty and there was an across the board promotion of almost all the staff.. so we're now very top-heavy with a lot of management from their side..
the culture of the two sides are very different.. the senior officers of the other side was coddled and did almost nothing while their junior officers did almost everything.. while our side, we all pulled out weight...
after the merger, it was hard for them.. but hey.. we adapt

i'm still wondering how the section will hold up this year.. my colleague is being transferred soon, and the boss will have to be transferred because her rank is way too high for this little section... i'll be the only one who knows the work
