i want to get my antique film camera fixed.. old thing, totally mechanical.. i like it
was my dad's..

i replied "it's saturday night, it's midnight, i'm at a pub, and i'm drunk.. i'll fix that when i get back to work on monday.. in the meantime, get your duty officer to do the work.. he has the same access"
and i hung up
I hope my hubby can do that too...
Luckily he's on a 6-week roster so doesn't have to be on support all the time. If he misses a call (which happened a few times as he left his phone in the living room), it will go to the next person on support. I don't think the person will be too happy about having to do that when it is not his turn to be on support though, especially if it's in the middle of the night!! -
That camera (your dad's) looks quite good and expensive.... would cost a lot in the future.

I just received the following email from Shell:
'Dear xxxxxxx,
Thank you for your recent application expressing interest in opportunities with Shell.
We have reviewed your information with interest and your application has been given careful consideration. Unfortunately we will not be pursuing your application......'
That's the third rejection so far.

Well, 7-11 kindly gave me some contacts for internship opportunities.
And I still have a whole bunch of companies who have yet to reply to me... assuming that they even bother to do so, of course.
I'll be printing out more copies of my resume later. I'll mail them first thing on Monday morning.
Which reminds me... I need to go get some more passport-sized photos. -

My previous camera (a 3.2 MP Fujifilm camera) served me extremely well for two years before it finally malfunctioned. Samsung should really learn a thing or two from them about making cameras that actually work.
My brother-in-law just bought a Fujifilm camera (for diving use) and it takes really beautiful underwater photos.
So far I am not a big fan of Samsung because of their mobile phones. For some reasons, they don't seem to be able to fix their battery life problem - can only last 2 - 3 days, very annoying. I used to have Samsung mobile phone but in the end I was sick of the short battery life and traded it in for a Nokia. -

Watch out for your blood pressure! Cashew nuts might be good for you but not the salt that is on them!!!

I'm trying to get an internship at an engineering firm... preferably in the aerospace or petrochemical industries since that's what I'm planning to do in the future after I graduate. -
almost no salt on it.. which makes it pretty good stuff
i don't really like those with a lot of salt.. and i'd rather these than the honeyroasted ones -

Suffice to say that this was the policy that got me disillusioned with the ruling party.

Nuts (with monosaturated fats) are actually quite good for us as long as you have it plain with no salt or honey roasted.
I am not a nut person (don't fancy nuts that much) though. It depends on my mood.... -

In Brunei it's opposite. They prefer Malay to Chinese.... May be you should go and live in Brunei. -
