i am a member of the VAD, and EVERYONE is a volunteer there, the only paid staff I've seen at meetings was the full time secretary who runs whole office .... everyone else is a volunteer ..... -

it's just interest calculated on the principle AND the previous accrued interest ...

Stanchart offerred an account like that before and i am not sure if they still do
its a saver's account with 2.8% interest pa compounded monthly
with a bit of calculations it come up to 2.9 something, the highest i have seen so far
at the very least, its still way better than POSB's pitiful one -

the thought of cutting and dicing and the washing that comes after is too much for me ....I don't even put the stuff into a plate .... it's straight from the pot for me, one less plate to wash ...

I realized that there's basically only three different flavours the condiment's the same, the onli difference is whether you get assam, chili, or curry powder together with your msg ...

Something I used to do is that I'd cook 2 or 3 day's worth of pasta at one shot and keep individual servings in tupperware in the fridge.
But yeah, that means I could wind up eating tuna pasta for 3 solid days, pasta and meatballs for another 3.. etc etc etc
But it sure beats instant noodles -

oh.. simple interest is when interest is calculated on the principle only.. which means the initial amount... compound interest is calculated on accrued amount which is the principle and the interest accrued...
for example...
simple interest (yearly) of 10% in a fixed deposit
principle = $100
1 year later, $100 + 10% of $100 = $110
2 years later, $110 + 10% of $100 = $120
compound interest (yearly) of 10% in a fixed deposit
principle = $100
1 year later, $100 + 10% of $100 = $110
