i remember this sad joke.. where a boss tells his section to do some insanely stupid thing... it takes them a day away from their normal work...
the boss congratulates himself for "saving $xxx amount of money by getting his staff to do the work"
however, his staff are highly paid accountants who cost many times the $xxx amount... where he could have hired a few temps to do the thing, and allowed his accountants to do their work...
some people forget what opportunity cost is...
reminds me of my silly dad who will not hesitate to drive 10km more to get something which is $1 cheaper in another market... i had to rant at him until he realised the stupidity of his actionsOriginally posted by kopiosatu:the ROA system is a joke.

it's a nice thing to do.. but people also hate being innundated with emails like that...
goodness knows i have about 100 a day, and most of them are cc-ed stuff which is useless to me..
maybe if a HR person interviews one or two a day... but imagine if the person interviews about 40 each day and gets these emails
