Yes, Optus owned by Singtel.Originally posted by Rhonda:I know... but cheaper if I am. I'm already on Telstra for my home phone, and that will already give me a few benefits when I subscribe to Big Pond. But if I switch to Telstra Mobile as well, I'll have even bigger discounts!
However, I'm a tad unwilling to do so. Doesn't SingTel have a stake in Optus?Sarport Singapore, Inc!

#1 : I can cook.
#2 : If I can't cook it, I have the recipes for it and so, refer to #1 again!
#3 : I can find most ingredients here!If I can't find something, I can improvise so, refer back to #1!
#4 : There are plenty of Singapore / Malaysian / Asian restaurants here!
So, yeah... not ever returning to live in Singapore again. I can't, won't, shan't!![]()

There's also this Raffles something or other near town that sells awesome Singapore food too!
And up in Boxhill and Doncaster, lagi more Malaysian restaurants!
I managed to find all I wanted! Each time I thought, alamak, no chilli tapioca crisp / satay fish sticks / tempeh / Glory Kaya, taaa-daaaah, the next minute, I find it in a grocery shop!
Cuz my stomach's satisfied, I'm a happy camper!![]()

I've eaten all that you've listed. Don't find anything fascinating about Souvlaki's, and as for the rest, ok, tried and tested, tasty, but I have my dietary preferances.Originally posted by the Bear:yeah.. in NZ

when in a foreign place eat like the foreigners... and when you return to your homeland, you won't miss a beat
i lived on souvlaki, steak sarnies, schnitzels, steak, pho, gelato, pizza... everything.. only ate chinese food or the local version of it when forced to...
i found it way better than the sad facsimile of "chinese food" there
