I just got back from Creative HQ at Jurong East. They have offered to do a one-to-one swap, but they said that they're out of stock, and it will only arrive in 1-2 weeks.
Once again, I'm a little suspicious... any chance that they might swap my spoilt player for a refurbished one? Or am I being a little paranoid here?

Whatever the case, I've given up on Creative. Once I can afford it, I'll sell off the refurbished Creative player and get myself an iPod.
