The tarts aren't bad...but I think she used vegetable oil, so it's not the buttery kind. It's not too sweet and the jam+pastry gives it a slightly chewy texture. uhhh.. if it's religious like the Taoist or Buddhist version of vegetarian, check with the makers of vegan stuff..
the Taoists or Buddhist vegetarians (i forgot which) do not allow stuff like leeks, onions, garlic and a whole host of other herbs and spices...
