  according to the GP i consult, the "special" medicine is anti-viral ....
  
  it serves to minimize the effects of chickenpox ...... ie less pox ....
  
  but MC still two weeks ...... still very contagious to those who never got it before

  chickenpox is most contagious AFTER the 2 weeks...
  
  the 2nd time you get chickenpox is called shingles.. look for blisters around the places where there are nerves.. it hurts like hell...
  
  get to the doctor for anti-virals immediately because they attack the nerves and may damage it, causing paralysis of that part of the body.. like the face or nerve damage..
  
  i got it around my side and it felt like i broke a few ribs...

  i have TRIED V HARD to get chix pox. even after sharing food and hugging my chix pox-ed brother, i'm still pox-less
