don't laugh okay.. i superman'ed out of an AMBULANCE!
i was in the front of the ambulance.. there was a maniac driver on the other side speeding down a narrow road.. veered into our side...
to prevent a head-on, the driver avoided the other car.. only to have the ambulance go up the kerb and hit a small slope which brought the whole ambulance to a dead stop immediately..
i went out the windscreen...
i have a hard head
just scratches and a scar on my left finger which i can show you guys the next time we get together

That reminds me on something else.
Most of my Ah Pek Bikers uses the latest Nokia handphones but arent utilising those handphones to the fullest.
Another younger bikers has to teach them...that sometimes, when they need something, to be purchased by someone. All they need to do is to take pics of that something and mms over to the others lah.
Or simply, to use the vid functions and show to the other party using the handphones mah....
i find that, is truly using communications technology to its fullest! -

Way before I ventured into SGF. There was someone I met at MSN Chat room.
It was his 18th birthday, he was riding pillion on his friends bike. Met with an accident, was thrown off the bike and he became quad something paralysed from his neck down.
he eventually recovered SOME movements to both his hands and is ever since wheelchair bound. He is the only child of 2 aged parents.
Thats why they are called accidents. No one, will have willingly wanted suffered.
Now they are worried what are they going to do when their insurance money runs dry -

no need to wear seat belt one..
actually, won't have mattered, would still fly out anyway... the seat belt for that ambulance is useless.. because of the size of the thing..
looking back, if i wore that seat beat, i'd probably have died... it would have caught my feet (army boots) stopped me dead and made me land on the jagged glass which was the windscreen, slashing me to bits

Flying out of an ambulance -
I know I sounded naggy. But here goes my ambulance story.
Was in those Emergency Prepardness courses for my district Civil Defence thingy.
Last Sunday of the course & we have civil defence people came to give up demonstrations on how to do CPR.
i requested to join and be in their Ambulance Volunteer thingy. Was pretty persistent about it and they relented and let me signed up.
In the evening, while riding to Woodlands, was hit by a hit and run van.
ambulance came. I had a ride in the ambulance.
Jokingly tells the ambulance attendant. "Well well, i was hoping to ride in a ambulance by joining the civil defence thingy, didnt know I will get a ride so fast!" the irony of it.
well, i did recovered and eventually did one shift with the ambulance as a volunteer. Only case I attended was a really old indian lady needing to get to a hospital cos she couldnt breathe. She was roughly 90 years old. And that, was considered a good day for the ambulance people. -
Quite frankly, even as a predestrian I fear for my life on a daily basis. My life is constantly endangered by motorists, motorcyclists, and even cyclists.
(I've been rammed by all 3 types but amazingly escaped with only scratches) -

But Bear is really amazing to be alive with minimal injuries supermaning out of the ambulance
The auto accident I was in, a girl did just that and she died

Health & medical/hospital stay insurances -
accidents, so sad, but no way to prevent

Will be signing a $506 Hospital Plan next week. It was this or a lady illness insurance. Crossing fingers they will give me the standard plan. the agent mentioned they might exclude 2 exisiting illnesses.

If I get into an accident, I hope I die from it. Plus, at least SO will get a huge sum from it
