i still recommend swearing at him, then recommend that he contemplates a sex change and a lobotomy as viable solutions to his problems
with that, i'm going off for lunch.. i'll probably attempt to kill myself with lard.. thinking of roasted pork rice
Sometimes yes.Originally posted by the Bear:kitten.. uhh.. move bed also can have such effects?

I think superstitions can sometimes ruin people's lives and freedom. It has too much control over people.Originally posted by viciouskitty74:thats another fengshui altogether. I never been to your room, so I have no idea what you plan to trip on and hit what wall.
And with small children in the house, with them sleeping terribly, you will want to try different drums to give them better peace in sleep.
I suggested American Indian Dream Catchers, but my sister has a belief that its something in the attic tat is communicating with the kids and making them dream. Plus, this house is technically on a previous Indian Burial Grounds.
And sis was always more sensitive to the 'spiritual beings' then I do.
True....I agree too.Originally posted by honeymouse:I think superstitions can sometimes ruin people's lives and freedom. It has too much control over people.
That's my view anyway!![]()
Sounds yummy. I don't cook/have soup here very often as we hardly have the time to do so. Perhaps I should start making used of my slow cooker I have at home.Originally posted by the Bear:overgrown cucumber (seriously!) with some lean pork and something else which has disintegrated in a thick bowl, filled with water... and it's steamed to ensure very slow cooking without the soup in the bowl boiling over...
the result is a very clear soup which is pretty good
sometimes called "steamed soup"
p.s. someone did a writeup on the stall.. clicky here => SOUP!

Any idea how to use the slow cooker to cook soup so that it will be ready by the time we get home? Just dump all the ingredients in?![]()

Thanks Bear. I will try it out one day. Need to go and get radish and cuttlefish first. Ikan billis ok?Originally posted by the Bear:sure..
bunch of pork ribs or pork or anything like that.. (can use chicken carcass too but not as nice)
radishes, cut up into something resembling 1 inch cubes.. carrot (optional)
dried scallop or dried cuttlefish.. depending on availability.. i use cuttlefish...
water...
all into the slow cooker.. allow to simmer for about a day..
good stuff
and an additional tip.. if you want to clear out the yukky gunky stuff from the pork, get a pot of tap water, put the pork in it, bring to boil... allow boiling for about half a minute to 45 seconds, pour away the water, remove the pork and transfer into the slow cooker
as for how much of the stuff, uhh.. i dunno how to describe.. cooking has always been by estimation, and a bit of experience tells you how much to put.. i've never actually measured stuff

The tip you gave me is exactly the same as what my mum told me to do last time.
So do I need to add salt to it later?
Can throw in a spoonful of sugar too.Originally posted by the Bear:dried ikan bilis.. can also
no need for salt as the dried stuff is usually salted...
if not enough, you can add after...
the radish is nice with dark soy sauce too.. which addsto the salt intake
