My hubby and I did a major kitchen renovation for our place last Sept and we bought a Smeg oven with the pyrolytic function. A self-cleaning function that the temperature gets up to around 500 deg and disintegrate all the fats into ashes. Once the oven cools down, you just use a wet cloth and wipe the ashes off. Quite handy. We haven't tried that out yet though.

Their most basic model goes for about S$700
But I'll have to put it on tabletop and it'll need a housing
Ahh... wonder what the SO will say if I want to install the oven

I saw a program on TV a few years ago where someone tried it out. Seriously all these 'tools' all boil down to your requirements
For lazy people like me I just want to dump everything into the oven and hit the pyro function if I need to clean it -

I know what you mean. I don't think I have either. Ours has a rotisserie feature and I have used it twice now. First time a chicken and second time a kangaroo roast. Nice!!Originally posted by elindra:It is!

I use those non-stick (no need to add oil) ceremic trays and they are easy to wash -
