But heard is that they are going to upgrade it... But aft some time later, it's gonna be pulled down -

As for me, I'm just planning to go backpacking in Malaysia at the end of my current semester.
I've never travelled alone before.

You'll find out more about yourself. In my early 20s I backpacked solo for about 2 months. It all started with my wanting to visit Disneyland in Anaheim and it ballooned from there. I ended up staying in California for a month and then Hawaii for another. Best time of my life.Originally posted by fudgester:Wow neat.....

But I'm a little strapped for cash at the moment.
And besides, as I said before, I've never travelled alone before. I want to get a feel of what it's like to travel alone first and take some baby steps with a backpacking trip to Malaysia.
Perhaps after I graduate, I can realise my dream of travelling far abroad.... perhaps in the States or at least Down Under. -

i had a slight taste of that but wanted to go for a big one, about 2 months across Europe.. it was in 2005 that i planned it.. however, 31 Dec 2004, my back went crack after a huge-ass sneeze and that was it.. back screwed
that, and Bush being inept caused the Euro to appreciate sharply against the greenback, making it way way WAY too expensive to do that
i wanted to see Gaudi's masterpiece in Barcelona most of all..
oh well, maybe one of these days, with a Mrs Bear instead -

Well, if I do want to travel after I graduate, I'd like to go to New York if I could afford it.
I've got a cousin who's been living there (alone) for several years. Suffice to say that I can save a bundle of money by imposing on his hospitality for a few days.

i could do that to a cousin too.. he's been asking me to go.. we're pretty okay with each other but then, i think he's living with his girl (and soon to be wifey) there..
