  the stupidity of it all is that everything is electronically filed.. and the paper is backup...
  
  and we have a LOT of paper..

  btw, does anyone know where to fix and old mechanical cuckoo clock?
  
  it has weights on chains which power the thing, you pull the chains to lift the weights up so that it slowly comes down, powering the pendulum and the mechanism..
  
  that part still works..
  
  the bellows is broken so the cuckoo sound when the bird comes out is just a mechanical click

  damn i miss thailand.
  
  just got back from a 12hr ride.
  
  did the bungy jump, i wanna do it again.
  
  4 more weeks and i'll be in bangkok!!!
  
  oh and the lessons i've been attending are good, the thais thought i've learnt it for years. and they get a shock when i say "2 months"

  Last time many years back there is a old shop at Holland V. Not too sure if its still there or not. They do repair on this type of clock. And somewhere in another HDB estate, I swear I saw b4 but can't recall the place.

  I think is somewhere along the shop houses. Stand outside the Lorong Liput and look towards the ice cream shop ( forgotten the name ) which is just opposit the HV Wet Market. Last time between 1990-91 I worked in The Word Shop @ Lor Liput. I swear that shop is down that road. No harm trying.
