But after eddings, i moved on to Raymond E Feist which I liked. But personally I find Fantasy writers who write series, tend to end up repetitive lah.
I like Asimov. He is prolific AND original.

after school, they become brilliant books to read...
The River Between by Ngugi and Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe remain two of the most excellent books i've read...
books, i have weird reading tastes... currently reading Murakami books... they're surreal and excellent

Oh I also loved those compiled fairy tales called
The Red Fairy Book etc... they had Green Blue Yellow Purple and god knows what colours
Really good. They have fairy tales and myths from all cultures -

I find one thing about Things Fall Apart and .. books like "Walkabout" about indigeneous people is that they tend to focus a lot A LOT on the pastoral scenery. Its like every chapter will be 2-3 paragraphs on 'natural' scenes. Of course much of the natural scene description 'sets' the mood for what happens eventually but sometimes I get bogged down by it and loses stamina to continue reading it.... -
