  Maybe you should install screens at your windows And get some citronella plants. Check if there are possible breeding grounds, like roof gutter outside the window?

  it always happens on nights where there is enough rain during the day to cause pooling somewhere.. so doesn't happen often.. but the stains don't come off the sheets
  
  my windows being totally open doesn't help either
  
  luckily it's night.. so Culex mosquitoes.. they are irritating but do not spread diseases...

  Yar cos you don't get to the stains fast enough. Water & soap will get rid of fresh blood stains but if old... maybe soak in water mixed with color bleach.
  
  The screens will help since you leave windows open.

  yup.. usually used to clean out abcesses by fizzing out the wound.. will kill anaerobic bacteria and spores..
  
  the release of oxygen also causes bleaching.. so some people use it to bleach things like their hair..

  Bear, get those old fashion mosqito nets lah. Like the one I had in Phuket. Its a Big Long Rectangle net with no centre parting wan. Really can keep out the mozzies.
  
  Just make sure you smoke the underneath of your bed before you sleep. Wait for the smokes to clear and then climb in, preferably after your shower.

  sigh....little boy didnt go to school today cos of his cough. (We suspect he picked it up at school though.)
  
  Now little gal starts coughing and wont nap in the afternoon.
  
  And I cant help, kids are sticky with their mother when they are sick. And both kids are fighting tooth and nails to cling to their mummy. Both of them with fevers too.
  
  Poor Sis.
  
  Time to go for a shower, will go and take the jelly pillow and go chill it in the freezer first, just in case.
