Actually I've seen some places, they do have high barrier but only up to say 3 to 4 ft high at the platform
Dunno why... But our ppl inside just dun want to spend the money

And others with someone to man it to ensure it runs ok
Thing is in a factory it's in a fixed location
I mean what happens if another stupid case like the guy who drove up the MRT tracks
Without a driver, can you be certain the train will stop in time?
Does our MRT driverless train have a sensor that can detect objects on the rail and stop in time? -

I just reached the NUS Science Library.
I'm supposed to have a lecture at 10... but I'm skipping it. The lecturer has a motormouth that goes non-stop for two hours straight without a break... no way on earth I can handle that.
In other news, I just learnt from a friend of mine (a 17 year old) that she has invested $2000 into an MLM using her parents' money.
I told her straight in the face that few people become truly successful in MLM and warned her to invest only amounts that she can afford to lose... but she refused to listen to my advice.

oh well ... some lessons in life can only be learnt the hard way .....

pardon me about this slow lengthy input. I need to vent some issues.
Sis talked to me about baby brother.
Mother is definitely not making any more sense and pissing off my baby brother.
I am now required to find out and revert to them the possibilities:
1) Sis & bro in law, buys a property in sg. To house baby brother & mother & baby brother to pays off the property.
2) baby brother to buy his own private property & house mother with him.
3) baby brother to buy HDB property with mother.
With option 3, I would lose my HDB, unless I find a hubby within 6 months of them exercising option 3. I am okay with it though.
We'll see how life goes. All these issues has been ping pong-ing for the last 2 years, lets not drag it to 3 years.....kinda irritating when issues drags too long. -

Yesterday was travelling along NS Highway, saw 1 car having the front gone and ended up at the drain at the side
I think the accident just occured then cos the parts was left all over the places on the Highway. -
Well, what bugs me is that while she learns her lesson, it's her parents who are gonna pay the cost of doing so.
$2000 is a huge amount of dosh.... for me I consider myself lucky to have more $1.6K in cash reserves due to my savings.
And I can't help but be sceptical at the products in the catalogue she sent me... among others, she was selling 'calcium-fortified water' or something like that.
In the product description, it claimed that the water was slightly alkaline and thus helped to neutralise some of the 'poisons' in human blood, thereby 'detoxifying' it.
Sounds like snake oil, methinks. Firstly the strong hydrochloric acid in the stomach would neutralise much of the alkalinity before it gets absorbed in the small intestine.
Even if it somehow gets into the bloodstream, buffer solutions in human blood prevent significant changes in the acidity level. Human blood is always slightly acidic due to the presence of lactic and uric acid, by the way. -
Btw any of you uses the Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce in your cooking?
I'm asking coz I have like a dozen bottles of 150ml sauces.
It's not near expiry products. I got them for free and though I use L&P Sauce quite a bit, a dozen bottles is too much. Any of you want a bottle or 2? -
