Oh! Yeah, hor!Originally posted by fudgester:If you wanted a team of cute firemen to rescue you, then you shouldn't have blocked the smoke detector.![]()
I think it might be a regulation here that all houses be fitted with smoke detectors? They can be bought in supermarts here and fitted to the ceiling. They aren't those systems that are directly linked to the fire stations.Originally posted by hisoka:you have smoke detectors in your house? how much is the maintainence?
stupid laws......Originally posted by viciouskitty74:Problem 1. Mom is psychotic.
Problem 2. Baby brother is tired of renting.
Problem 3. I really liked my place. Its floor & unit number is actually my birthday. And its a place of my own. If I lose it, I will have to rent somewhere else which is the same price, but the place will never be my own.
so what's the preferred solution then ? .... you'd need a place, and your mom needs a place .... and the needs of both seems to be conflicting ....Originally posted by viciouskitty74:Problem 1. Mom is psychotic.

You should just leave it on the table and let them pick on "first come first serve" basis.Originally posted by Rhonda:honeymouse, thanks for making the arrangements and leading the way to the farm! It was fun picking our own apples! So many varieties too!
I didn't know I'd need that many apples to distribute but guess I should be a bit more hard-hearted because when the others give out stuff, they don't necessarily give anything to me either. I should stop feeling guilty that not everyone had an apple because I can't afford that! So, only the blue-eyed boys and girls (to borrow from a famous term so not to be taken literally) get apples!
Did you give any to your colleagues?
i don't think arguing with a friend works as a sleep inducer.Originally posted by fudgester:I think my current state of dizziness and nausea is due to my insomnia last night.
I couldn't sleep until 3am. To try to induce sleep, I tried flipping through my notes and arguing with my friend (two pages ago for details) why she shouldn't be plonking down $2000 of her parents' money in an MLM.
Oh well... my next lecture is at 2. My day ends at 4.
I'll try to sleep early tonight.![]()
Lack of good-quality sleep sure does that to you!Originally posted by fudgester:I think my current state of dizziness and nausea is due to my insomnia last night.

Here, let me get my good friend Russell help you....Originally posted by Fatum:where are the peektures of apples ?!?!?!?! .......

Oh, yeah hor! Should have done that!Originally posted by honeymouse:You should just leave it on the table and let them pick on "first come first serve" basis.
I didn't bring any apples in to give to my colleagues today as I haven't decided what to do with them yet (how many to keep for myself, to give to my in-laws etc).
Btw, my brother-in-law asked me to thank you for the photos.![]()

I know what you meant. I'd do the same thing too, just give to those I am close to. The only thing is, I try not to make it too obvious to people I don't like....Originally posted by Rhonda:Oh, yeah hor! Should have done that! But then, I have a few special friends in the ward I really wanted to give the apples to and also a few peeps I wouldn't want to give anything to!
Maybe next time, should plan how much of what to get first before going! And also next time, shouldn't talk about the outing before it happens or else people start to 'reserve' your pickings!
Eh ... thought you planned to come and attend this event last year?Originally posted by the Bear:gonna cry.. i wanted to visit during the F1GP...
