I know that's how you feel too right? I kept running to and fro from my locker whenever I saw someone I wanted to give an apple to, because I didn't want to be seen carrying the apples around and then having to tell someone who wasn't getting any that those were the apples I picked yesterday!
Guess we wish we were rich enough to be THAT generous, but unfortunately, we can't afford that!
I still wish I'll someday be well-off enough to host dinners for my friends.

was told to be on standby because people really high up are haggling over the budget... they're so high up that oxygen doesn't reach their brains so they're all kinda brain-damaged
only thing is.. today i'm told that my section doesn't have to do that anymore

As a prelude, two weeks ago, I bought the boxed set for Fast & Furious and watched Tokyo Drift for the first time. I thought there should have been more action cause I didn't want the movie to end! Fast cars, handsome dudes with lightning-fast reflexes... purrrRRRRRrrrrr...

i thought F&F was silly and stopped watching the download after 1/2 hour.. then deleted it

just downloaded The Corporation.. watched Part 1 and it is something everyone should watch... it is one of those documentaries which will change the way you look at everything.. -

there are stacks of recipes in the recipe topic, some require prior prep and then you just bring there
like oxtail stew.. cook up a pot.. allow to simmer overnight... when it's time, wrap in a blanket and bring it there

Actually, you don't need to be well-off to host dinners for your friends. People here usually happy to bring some food along (if it's at your place) or pay for their own meal (if at the restaurant). Don't let that hold you back from organising things with your friends.
Hey, we should have a steam boat session at my place one day. I am up for it most weekends so it just depends on your work roster. Get a few others like Tracy and bear's sister along. What do you think? -

However, if I'm ever filthy rich, my friends will be invited, and they don't have to bring anything cause there'll be a buffet so big everyone can even ta-bao stuff home! Well, that's part of my filthy rich dream anyways!
I remember working for a VIP multi-millionaire family just two years ago and wandering in their huge compound, I couldn't help thinking, "If I lived here, can hold a party here or there and everyone will be happy!"

But yes... I moved out at 21 cause I wanted my independance, and since then, I've been moving from place to place, machiam like a nomad! I started to leave things in the boxes when I moved AGAIN because everything felt transient. I'd have empty cupboards and shelves, and rummage through boxes for some stuff. I know it's weird, but I just felt that sooner or later, I'd have to move again, so why bother.
That's why now that I'm here, I'm helluva determined, by hook or by crook, before the property prices skyrocket really badly, I wanna be able to afford my own apartment or a little townhouse. Gotta at least save 5% of the property price first though.
Oh, maybe next year, will return to SG to get my own flat to rent out so mom and dad can get some allowance from the rental returns.
