Remembered a CA prog... NEA sent ppl to monitor the no smoking zone at coffeeshop... They catch the ppl smoking and at the same time fine the coffeeshop mgmt for 'not stopping these ppl'...
Come on, there's so many ppl around to serve and make it crudely, it's also kinda rude for ppl doing biz to chase ppl away just because the smoking zone is full
I suggest to the coffeeshop mgmt is that all just sun sell cig and impose a total ban... Let them be starved off those duties income and those tobacco license... Those ppl have no idea of service or running a biz

i just wasted one and a half hours happily by not being at my desk, going to the other sections and making myself annoying
actually, was there pitching something to the other sections which will take away some of their unwanted work which we can do very quickly.. we'll do the stuff for them, let them concentrate on their core duties.. everyone is happy

but the high ones are making the decisions...
they are feted by corporates and not by the little shops... in fact, that's the long and short of the whole system.. screw the little guys to feed the giant machine that is the corporate...

Just think:
If I'm a tourist or businessman, would I want to go to casinos that also feature strip joints and various other interesting forms of entertainment and services, or would I want to the heavily regulated Singapore version? -

in every place where the casinos are allowed to run, the society pays about $1.20 for every $1 revenue the casinos bring in... for security, rehab for the vice, drugs and crime that will move in...
unless it is a town dedicated to gambling... like Vegas or the Genting Highlands... the normal people around the area will suffer badly

But anyway what I've heard from ppl at the cig co is that they only act against those that smuggles in cig from Malaysia or wherever aft they make complains, if not Customs will not act...
I wonder the potential revenue losses...
