it was such a cool sunny day that we decided to walk instead of taking the tram.. the train required us to go to Flinders' and change line..
we walked past the pet shop, crossed the road to the other side where the supermarket was, and kept walking..
i was looking at the place, taking in the sights.. he was unusually quiet...
suddenly he turned.. and almost walked into a lingerie shop
he then admitted sheepishly had his eyes glued to the girl we were walking behind and he sort of followed her.. and almost followed her into the shop
Well, there were three very giggly and scantily-clad teens on board the tram and you could see all the males on board the tram drooling over them!
These girls remind me of the articles in the newspapers here voicing concern over the teenage girls spending tons of money on designer clothes in order to emulate the Hollywood stars. And boy, were they almost naked!
You're talking about that huge pet shop taking up three shop spaces, right? Pet Paradise or something like that? I want to go there the next time! There was a cute, young bloke with bits of hay in his hair loading pet taxis into the van and I was too busy looking at him when the tram stopped right outside the shop to notice anything else.

yeah.. pet paradise.. during winter, we ducked into the shop because it's warm inside
they had this very bad tempered long necked turtle which tried to bite everything
we bought our fishtank and fish from them

It's been another busy today for me anyway, it's good to be busy sometimes. I have now organised my trip to SA next week, will be flying there on Tuesday night and coming back on Thursday afternoon. Look forward to the trip but not the so much of the sites I am going to be visiting!
Hi Rhonda, seems like you had a rather exciting day "touring" around Chapel st. Haven't been there for years (except for my site visit 2 years ago), one of these days I should go back to have a look. -

Turtles are cute
Even those Alligator Snapping Turtles.

I should have adopted that Leopard Gecko (yes I know it's illegal to keep) when my friend wanted to give it up coz he has too many pets.
But I was put off by it's food ...... Crickets -
speaking of fishies, my landlord's goldfish is ill .... the thing had greyish stuff inside both it's eyes ... and the fins were speckled with red .....
the thing seems to be blind now ... it swims into things ...

In other news, it's really amazing watching the tiger fishes hunt.
Also I realised that piggy knows how to beg for food
When he is hungry he will come out near the front of the tank and stand there and look straight at me and starts sniffing the sand -

what's wrong with crickets?
used to catch them to feed the oscar in the camp.. actually, crickets, grasshoppers, centipedes, roaches, lizards, flies, worms.. whatever... that fish will eat anything
i think it's fave was lizards -

Oh wow!! Was looking at the schedule of events for the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival in March and on the last Sunday of March, there's going to be a 'Wicked Sunday' in Fed Sq where 'wicked chefs' will demo their 'wicked pastries'!

Chapel Street is certainly worth spending a day in! And on fair weather days like today, I feel that I can walk forever! (But ahem!... not uphill, of course! ) -
