I know they need to do what they do, plus I'm a meat eater too, but I just feel odd watching a living thing being eaten whilst still alive.

But stuff that goes on in documentaries they're all real, the blood that's spilled is real! -

Its called Dexter, about a policeman who hunts down and kills serial killers when he's off duty. I love the concept!! A serial killer who kills serial killers!
That makes him numero uno serial killer!!

I mean, for all horror movie on DVD's, you get to watch the Special Features that usually include "The Making Of..." and scenes taken from the filming process where the acting cast play pranks and etc. That reinforces the fact that it's all fake and just acting and I often imagine at the end of scenes, the director shouts, "CUT!" and everyone bursts out laughing.Originally posted by elindra:I dunno but SAW may be staged but the movie is too graphic for me to stomach

I usually scrutinise these movies to see how 'authentic' they look, and if things are anatomically-correct and realistically possible. Sometimes, they can get quite funny esp when the blood is of a different colour / consistency, etc.
For that matter, I think the folks doing the make-up and who prepare the 'corpses' for CSI are doing a brilliant job! Sometimes, I'm really awed at their special effects!

Hey, the TV series "Heroes"... anyone here likes it? I didn't get a chance to watch a single episode cause of work. As usual, might have to purchase the DVD when it's out and heavily discounted.

i enjoy a "no action" movie like Lost in Translation which was strangely exhilarating to me...
but i watched the crappy Snakes on a Plane and laughed a bit, remembered it for "That's it! I've had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!" and thought.. uhh.. okay.. wtf?? and it was almost plotless with non-stop action -

Didn't sound very promising when I first heard of the show but its suprisingly gripping! And its no. 1 in the US now! -

I loved that gratitious sex and death scene in the toilet too.

Anyways, I enjoy movies from a wide genre. Crappy movies won't be immortalised in my memory, but once in a while, a gem comes your way and you'll save some scenes in your memory to savour.
By 'Action', I wasn't thinking of those 'B'-grade action movies but rather, the better blockbusters like Ransom, Die Hard, etc. -
