  In other news
  Yesterday I spent $35 on junk food
  
  $10 - Papa beard Cream Puffs
  $25 - 2 boxes of Pop Secret Microwavable popcorn
  1 bottle of my fav Japanese Salad Dressing
  1 packet of Japanese Instant Ramen (Dry style)
  
  Not to mention the Ribeye dinner I had
  
  Boy I really shouldn't have freaked out yesterday
  
  Total on food is like $50 bucks if I add in my steak!!!!

  I can't remember but the ramen I think was like $8.90 or something for 4 packets

  I can't help laughing when I read the thread started by this guy who asked if he should go after this girl who is "lowly educated"
  
  I think he is making a mockery of SG guys
  
  And his train of thought is on the wrong track seriously
  
  And I can't help rereading it and to myself

  i'm starting to pity my vendor.. they're being stonewalled by CAAS...
  
  the application says 10 days before the date.. they send in their application on 21st Feb for a permit to shoot on 9th Mar.. no concrete reply from CAAS yet, just a pile of verbally non-committal "it should be okay, we're processing it"
  
  uhh.. for a World's Number 1 airport, they are bloody inefficient, aren't they?

  What's with these people at the moment? One asked if they should go out with someone "lowly educated" while the other one asked if they should go out with someone poor.

  with such cynicism amongst the youth of Singapore, i really worry..
  
  somehow, when cynicism grows, humanity diminishes...
  
  i fear for the humanity of the world...
  
  a lot of the people now do not see what is wrong with being unethical if they can profit materially from it

  Unfortunately there ARE lots of people who are like this, and not just guys.
  
  In Singapore, you are often measured by your qualifications, job, and bank account. What can I say?

  must have good career
  must be good looking

  there is a story about a daughter of one of mom's friends.. she's an accountant.. she's going out with a fishmonger.. of course, stupid parents and all the others around are aghast..
  
  i'm thinking.. huh? he's a hardworking man who is engaged in an honest trade, making an honest day's wage.. wtf is wrong with those idiots who are not happy with them? they're happy with each other and in this world, happiness is in short supply so why are they making things difficult for them??
  
  i've always figured an honest man who is not materially well-off, but works hard for his family to provide for them and loves them, is better than a billionaire looter tycoon who cheats on his wife and doesn't know the names of his children...

  One of my friends is a successful sales manager
  Her husband-to-be works in a coffee shop
  
  Her reason? He's hardworking, mature and willing to learn and he loves her
  What more does she need

  stable career is another way of saying dead end job
  
  I think I'm just put off by all the requirements. It feels like a damned job interview
