It is quite hard to say. In Singapore, you seldom see guys going around with beards. It is really not quite the norm. Overall, I think better go clean shaven, esp if you think you can come across as unkempt.Originally posted by fudgester:Well, lots of people say I look more mature with it.

personally, i feel no beard better. unless you are older. otherwise might look unkempt.
and if you do trim and keep your beard nicely migth come off as being vain and spending too much time one appearance. uness you artist or soemthign of course -

Oh well... I guess it's a good idea to shave it off.
I'll shave it off over the weekend and let my chin tan naturally to the same tone as the rest of my face.... just in time for the interview on Tuesday.
Considering the thickness of my beard, I won't be surprised if my chin appears paler than the rest of my face when I shave the facial hair off. -

If the texture of the beard is thick and wiry, it's better to shave it off. I've got a colleague with that kind of beard, and half of it is in dirty-grey...yukks! Looks very unkempt. Furthermore he's not handsome.

At my previous internship at a small water systems firm, I was paid $600 per month. So I expect the pay to be around the same for CAAS.
It's peanuts, I know... but some of my friends in other companies were paid even less.
Anyway, the CAAS internship isn't confirmed yet.... I'm just hoping that I get it. -

But yeah... I felt 'naked' in the previous times I shaved it off. I've had to shave it off it the past for various reasons: interviews, formal presentations, in-camp trainings...
