Anyways, I love cats, but I also like dogs. Basically, if I live in an apartment, I'll only keep two cats, but if I live in a townhouse with a backyard, I'll have cats and one dog. I like the idea of walking a dog - good exercise for doggy and owner.

There was a very very good and obedient Chocolate Lab that I encountered at the Richmond Market, tied to a corner where I sat on the stone wall, eating my hotdog. I hear that pugs suffer from breathing problems ... their quality of life is not as high as other doggies because of this ....
maybe it's not a good idea to propagate the demand by getting one of those eh ....

Though we had to rescue a cat who trespassed into our garden coz if not my dog would have killed it
He will lay dead cockroaches and rats at the porch and once a 2 feet monitor lizard

Do you know Cat makes headline in Darwin newspaper yesterday. The headline is "Ban cat unless it is on a leash". Think they must have been killing too many wild animals over there.... I didn't read the content so not exactly sure what it is all about.

the black pommy, toto, was our favourite .... they are one of the most intelligent doggies around ...

The cats in my neighbourhood are all very fat and lazy. They are always within their compound, napping away with nary a care in the world. The only thing they are concerned with is what time their next meal will be served.
I want to have a backyard large enough to put a special fence in so the cats can't get out of the house. They'll be able to climb and play and what-not with structures built inside but I won't allow them out into the neighbourhood.
Hopefully, I can teach at least one cat to walk on a leash with me. All the cats I've had so far, failed. -

it's not just in oz too ... there are feral cats running wild in the woods and prairies here too .... The Flat coated is intelligent and obedient
Pommy very naughty....not as easy to train but intelligent
lab/pug very obedient, intelligent but too placcid
Japanese spitz was extremely intelligent, and will disobey if he thinks he can get away with it. -
Japanese spitz are very intelligent and definitely not for the first-time dog owner cause they will have a battle of wits with you one! Huskies are also not for the first-time dog owner, though I really love Huskies!
I think if I can't own a compound big enough to keep a large dog, I'll go for the Prince Charles Spaniel. NOT the Cocker Spaniel, which I cannot tolerate because they are too hyperactive and ridiculous.
Was thinking of someday 'rescuing' one of them retired greyhounds, but think the greyhounds don't fit my personality and image and we won't look good together, plus, I have to have a puppy so it'll get used to the idea of having cats boss it around. -
Hmm... I think going home to Singapore, I'm not just returning to awful crowds and long queues... I'm also returning to a nation of men who are very harshly judgemental on women, esp when it comes to physical appearance! Bugger'all!
