strange though...a old lecturer kinda guy is discussing with me about the electric scooters, and he also found the vespas too expensive for that range of bikes.
He is contemplating between trading in his GN for a runner. we were just discussing it last night.
Well, just to illustrate a experience.
Fren of mine wanted a LX, so we went to a bike shop and we saw 2 LX, both baby blue in colour. One is brand new, the other is only 2 months old.
The 2 month old wan was selling at 4k.
The new one is selling at 6k, not including ERP units or accessories....the final cost of the new LX150 was about S$7.3k. (Fren is the kind of pax that wont buy 2nd hand bike kind.)
Anyway, that 2nd hand LX150 is from a gal owner, whos parents found out that she is ridng and forced her to sell her bike.
The miledge was really really low. And I find it a good deal. Too bad I dont have the dough to grab that one that time! -

Should just buy one off those ahpeks.
I got my vespa corsa for S$400/- 3 years ago.
then I sold it off for S$800/- after riding it for 6 months.

somemore one of them one the vespa in a lucky draw, it has the designer livery on the scooter. can't remember what the designer's name is... issey miyaki? hmmm dun really know. -
sadly, i've noticed something about the promotion of people... and how the system which promotes them, screws up the organisation...
people who are rank and file, with a pathological attention to detail, are seen by the bosses as good, careful and meticulous workers...
they will be graded as "superior" to those who see the big picture, will argue about the purpose of the whole project or whatever, turn in work where details are not complete but the idea is sound...
those who are able to see the big picture will know that the little details do not matter in the end, as long as the purpose of the project is kept to, will be seen as careless and graded "inferior"
this keeps getting reinforced and the "details" person's behaviour is shaped such that he starts nitpicking.. and for that, he is rewarded.. and eventually promoted...
and thus the cycle begins as he will promote those who are just as good at nitpicking... unable to see the whole project and are lost in the details...
while those who see the whole thing derailing because of the details, will be left at the rank and file, frustrated...
i see this in my boss.. all her attention is to details... unable to see that everything is flying off the rails and that the project has totally lost its reason for existence..
i see that in the senior management too.. they argue over the smallest things, and sometimes a stalemate happens over the most inconsequential things, while the whole reason for the project, the meeting or even the whole organisation is ignored...
the details people should be left where they are able to be deployed to their best abilities... looking at details, doing the job...
those who will not lose sight of the reason for any project or the mission of the organisation, should be pushed up so that the organisation will not meander off the path...
unfortunately, most organisations are the other way around when it comes to the promotion and what the senior management is made up of... -

Sigh...i already gave up on the ranking system.
The biggest heartache everytime I hears it.
It hurts too when I have to explain them to the newer officers how it works.
It just hurts. Because I was scammed too.
And when the management tries to fob it off to say they were the same standards with the regular forces.
It hurts that people I respected are lying thru their teeths to cover up that big scam again and again.
I absolutely refuses to explain or tells further lies about it to the newer boys. I can merely offer a listening ear whenever its needed for them to vent their frustrations. -

I often finish up food that the litte gal spit out....so I skipped the main meals totally.
I am full today cos we went to chucke cheese and I had 3 big pieces of pizza for dinner. And I am soo fat right now. The stomach is sticking out further then my tatas. This is sooooo not good. -
