  Reading this book The Life of Reilly by Paul Burke.
  
  One of the characters in the book is Lucy, a magazine writer/reporter.
  
  She agrees to her editor's suggestion that she runs in the local elections as a candidate, as a way to get access to all the candidates for an exclusive article. There is no way she'll ever win anyway.
  
  BUT, In a hilarious turn of events due to voters fed up with the incumbent, she becomes the newest MP of her constituency.
