tonight on Animal Planet.... PARASITES!!
now got parasite catfish... candiru
the legend is that it is attracted by urine, goes up the urethra, hooks itself in and if it keeps going to the bladder, you'll die a painful death...
supposedly the only way to get it out is instant amputation of the penis

Just a random thought: are you able to slightly reduce the amount of time spent answering each question through the judicious use of common abbreviations and/or contractions? Will you be penalized for doing so?Originally posted by fudgester:*me mysteriously appears in a deafening sonic boom*
For this coming Monday's exam on compressible and unsteady fluid flow, I will have two hours to complete four long questions - or about 30 minutes per question.
The thing is, no matter how fast I do the questions during practice, I always take no less than 45 minutes per question. And this is under non-stressful exam conditions - under the pressure of exam conditions, I have to be a lot more careful since a single careless mistake can doom the whole answer.
Well, at least my lecturer has promised us that he won't penalise us heavily for careless mistakes so long as our methodology and reasoning are both correct.
Even if I could, it wouldn't make much of a difference, since the questions are calculation-heavy.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Just a random thought: are you able to slightly reduce the amount of time spent answering each question through the judicious use of common abbreviations and/or contractions?
