  That sounds like my new manager/boss. My boss whom I had for the past 2.5 years has left on Friday. My work place will be hell from now on.
  
  Think she made a mistake by pissing everyone in my office off before she was made the project manager.... she's going to have a hard time to get people to cooperate with her. She only wants things her way.
  
  I am not surprise in the next few months there will be many resignations.

  currently, i'm looking into something my section has been tasked to do (this will be forever.. new item in our "jobscope" )
  
  the more i look at it, the more it is a waste of money... it seems that the thing is done for the ego of one person.. it will waste money, it will waste time and resources...
  
  sad thing is, i went to ask that guy's subordinates.. all of them said "no one says no to him"
  
  i've gotten my bad rep from telling people "which part of NO did you not understand?"
  
  i wonder if this will be worth it.. i'll be making even more enemies like i don't have enough people pissed off with me for standing my ground

  those guys are drowning, not waving.. they've gone past the stage of running to stand still, they're sprinting so that they will not go backwards that quickly...
  
  yes, where i work, there are sections which are insanely overworked.. and the bosses just keep up with that mantra of "innovation to improve" and then tell them that "no additional manpower" will be provided...
  
  from what i have found out, some policies have caused the sheer volume to increase about 400%
  
  and worse is, we're getting a lot of crap which has to be sieved out because of the stupid policies.. where in the past, the filtering process was relatively easy, due to these policies, there is a lot more to be done for each case.. add that the increase in workload and no increase in manpower, something has to give.. and it won't be the bosses..
  
  what my section is doing now is to alleviate some of their load by taking away the BS work like "making posters for public education" from them so they can concentrate on their work..
  
  however, the bosses just replace that with something else just as idiotic... and more work is generated... no value is added..
  
  oh well.. let's see what i can do.. i'll give a reply they don't want to see and just tell them that if they want to continue, we will do it but it is a bad idea... i've done my due diligence by doing what the boss there didn't want to see...
