it took almost 2 yrs of shit to make me decide enuff is enuff to put an end to a 17yrs r/s... and i do admit [even to my pastor] tat i am depressed and i hated him to the core for it... but hey i'm only human!
it's just sad to see woman put up with sh.it when she failed to see her own beauty...
I have a girl friend who is still recovering from depression, grew up in a family where the parents only favour boys only. Throughout her childhood, she had been condemned by her parents and was told she was stupid etc.... And because she had been told she was stupid all the time, she came to think that was true too.
It would take time to change her mindset. She's a lot better now but there's still a long way to recovery. The fortunate thing is though, she has a very loving and supportive husband.
So, it's hard for us to fully understand why these women with low self-esteem behave the way they do. All we can do is to be sensitive and supportive to them and try every opportunity to encourage them.

i am thankful then, that my ex hub was not such a scum as to abuse me.
I took him for granted though. He took my trust for granted.
And I was lucky that I've seen lots of folks with abusive parents, spouses & siblings enough during my course of duties and try not to put myself thru those kind people w/o at least safeguarding my heart well.
It hurts sometimes, and strangely, it does not hurt as bad the more I see those scenerios.
