if it eats away a bat pup, it will look like a bat pup..
these days, they farm the fungus with something like tofu

well, the long and short of it is that cordyceps is a parasitic fungus which infects vegetable worms... after it eats the whole worm, it throws out a stalk to spread its spores..

Generally, huai san, yu zhu & ji zi are very safe. Put some dry dates to make it taste sweet. It's good for the blood, but dun put too much as it can be heaty.
If you have back problem, put in du zhong also.
If you want good digestion, use lian zi and bai he. It's good for ppl who always have gastric problems. -
I stopped by an asian store whose owner I knew today to try to scout out some cordyceps ....
guess what's the price he quoted me ? ....
C$2000 per pound !!! .....
I told him I could get some elsewhere at a much lower price ... and he told me those were probably "fakes" .... that's the going rate for them nowadays he says .... -
