  finally talked to the guy who gave me the figures...
  
  voodoo record-keeping.. plus the guy is damned slow.. had to explain to him what the stats were all about... it's his job!!
  
  there was a pause.. silence for a while.. then.. "ohhhhh... ahhhh... oh no.."
  
  i think he was keeping a pile of stats which is wrong for as long as he has been around...

  at that time, the records were all beyond reproach, broken down to the most minute detail and all on time... they could not be questioned at all..
