lets just say, bedroom, $400/- not including furnitures. You can bring your own wardrobe and mattress bed.
Utilities means paying for the electricity & conservancy charges yourself when I am not in town. If i am in, then we spilt the bill? Especially if its hot nights and we need aircon?
my place gets very windy from Aug to Jan. The wind practically rattles at the windows wan. You can tahan? Plus some carzy people around, peeping toms and only one small bathroom/toliet to share.
Oh...and not much furniture. I threw out a lot of stuffs and gave away a lot of barang barang.

Got a fren got a 4 room flat at Punggol 21, fully renovated, never stayed in. So they are looking for people to buy. Though not in financial difficulties, so not hurry to sell. -

used to rent out... but last tenant was a guy friend of mine, his gf obviously NOT happy... and i dunnoe how long it takes to sell tis plc, so also no pt looking for tenants....

I also prefer my mother and brother to go get a bigger new 4 room flats instead. -

tell you what, sell your place, can come live/rent with me a while if i still have the place till you can get your own place.
Fast, can be 4 months to decree nisi. Then single status, you can consider buy new place.
Or you should go apartment hunting now. Soft launches takes about a year to T O P, go book one now lah. and use the sale of your HDB to offset lor. I think can be arranged. -
There was this unit I really liked at Joo Chiat Terrace.
Glass windows 2nd floor one bedroom apartment. free hold some more.

I was looking at the design, and realised that I can sort of enclose the living room with glass wall and it becomes another bedroom linked to the kitchen common bathroom/toliet.
And if the master bedroom can have one glass walls to replace a dividing wall. It will look a bit like those 2 bedroom studio apartments.
And the dining area if you want pure sunlight, just pull away the curtains of either bedrooms and it will look great. But provided you got keep your bed neat so the look is continuous. Open concept!
Plus with those on the wall tv screens, internet accesses. One person may not even need to leave the room except to have dinner. And we each can watch our own tv programs w/o interupting others. -
on another note, sis was discussing with me how to remodel her home.
they want to put in a swimming pool, and brother in law wanted a ditch like lap pool at the back yard.
Sis was a bit hesitant cos she thinks it will look like a raised up ditch.
Then I mentioned to her glass walls on one side of the raised up ditch like some of the new apartments I seen in Singapore, where they have glass wall swimming pool and you can see people swimming in it.
she liked the idea and mentioned to a landscape artist that dropped over.
They liked the idea too. Its apparently not known in USA.
But one problem, sis lives in mediterran kinda housing.
