i was in a hardcore guild. we had the highest lvls and the most firepower. but soon we overleveled the game and got bored of it. then 75% of us quit and moved on to other games..Originally posted by elindra:Actually it depends really
I would be more concerned about the guild he is in
Are they hardcore or casual players
Coz you really get the peer pressure on you if the guild is hardcore
They penalise you for not turning up and you can get kicked out from the guild too.
Mine's a casual guild and our mantra is "WoW is just a game. Real Life matters are more important"
Saying that, our guild master is not even level 70 because he is busy studying for his MastersAnother officer is MIA coz she is busy with her PhD
i dun need to read the newspaper to noe abt such stuff....Originally posted by av98m:But if they do follow the news and current affairs, they will know that manufacturing/assembly is all headed over to countries like India and China and that they should seriously consider retraining for a different vocation based on how the local economy is restructuring instead of being caught by suprise when their factories announce a mass layoff or close shop altogether.
There is no such thing as useless knowledge really.
You should be with the MOEOriginally posted by the Bear:do you forget the lessons of each history lesson?
actually, i have a bone to pick with the "educators" about how history and geography, and a lot of other things are taught...
they treat them as if they were all mutually exclusive...
history is shaped by the physical geography and vice-versa..
which in turn forces some scientific advances which changes how the civilisation moves...
these things are also shaped by political forces which comes back to history...
anthropology, and all that can be fit into the whole thing as one looks at the links...
with these things, you can introduce the sciences and math..
everything can be taught as a whole.. not piecemeal which will bore the hell out of the student and narrow his mind...
imagine, you are exposed to the cause and effect of history... and how one thing can lead to changes in others.. almost a butterfly effect..
how interesting would studies be!
in the primary stages, teach them ABCs, basic math and languages.. i figure languages are underrated simply because without language, ideas fail..
secondary stages, this can be laid out for them instead of this incessant and pathological pursuit of A's in the O and A Levels..
then later in life, in tertiary education, let them learn the specifics and specialise.. and they will appreciate what they are getting themselves into..
this may also inspire in them the joy of discovery, rather than treating knowledge as only something to use in order to attain more material wealth...
Wow, PS3 is really cheap in the States. It costs more here in Oz. A$999 for PS3 as compared to A$399 for the Wii. No wonder no one wants to buy PS3 here. They'd rather get it from the States.Originally posted by jetta:How much is a PS3 in SG? Here it's US$350. The Wii is only $250 and completely sold out everywhere.
retailing for like 799 i think.. if only they coe out with pirated games..Originally posted by jetta:How much is a PS3 in SG? Here it's US$350. The Wii is only $250 and completely sold out everywhere.

Is US$350 inclusive or exclusive of tax?
Before tax. Did I tell you I managed to get my hands on a Wii about two weeks ago? My co-worker in the TV dept said she was checking stock in the back room and stumbled on a Wii that was tucked in a dark corner. She ran to my dept to tell me about it.Originally posted by elindra:PS3 is way cheaper in the USA
