okz lets see. knowledge of erm some ancient idiot liked to dig his nose?Originally posted by av98m:But if they do follow the news and current affairs, they will know that manufacturing/assembly is all headed over to countries like India and China and that they should seriously consider retraining for a different vocation based on how the local economy is restructuring instead of being caught by suprise when their factories announce a mass layoff or close shop altogether.
There is no such thing as useless knowledge really.

In all honesty, I'm glad that I'm not a secondary or Pre-U student at this point in time. Basically every single 'improvement' that the ministry has been introducing is pulling our education further and further down the abyss.
I can still remember how my batch was the last to not require SAT test scores for admission to NUS and NTU. Some of my friends who couldn't get the courses they wanted had to pay a bundle of dosh just to study for the SAT and to take it - all while doing their NSF liability. They actually stayed up after lights out to study under their blankets by the light of their L-torches.
I can still remember how much they cursed and swore when the MOE did an abrupt about-turn and announced that SAT was no longer needed.![]()

That's what my friends back there tell me all the time. Our kids were born the same year and they always tell me how lucky I am that my kids are not exposed to the stressful Sg education system.Originally posted by stellazio:
Talking bout education, the system here in Singapore is really stressful for the young ones, hey look even our education minister looks so stressed!
Wonder if heÂ’ll spend some of his increment on Beijing 101..
i doubt the girl will be interested that some nameless random idiot liked to dig his nose + it might sound crudeOriginally posted by choco B:One man's meat is another man's poison. What is inane to you may be interesting stuff to someone else.
