NM I googled it
I know the person who has the distributorship for the company who manufactures spud fries but they are doing normal fries and not the spud fries
Anyway it made from dehydrated potato mix made and not fresh potatoes
So it makes sense it will be crispy -
Its potato powder.
Worked with them at the exhibit before.
The patatoe powder is mixed with one big bottle of purified water or mineral water in a container.
The container can then be mounted on a portable cutter.
Squeeze the mixture thru a shape cutter, cut it.
Then the cut out mixture, put into a deep fryer. fry.
it can look like normal fries or in fish or any shape, even a company logo.
and it wont go soft for 4 hours at least.
Crispy for a long time.
and no need refrigerations. -

But the refrigerations costs, dont make it cheaper for small time push cart businessman.
spud fries worked well for a time in thailand. but i think they might have ceased operations since there is no management there. -

Yes & no. Think it's just the lack of direction from upper management (in Sydney) where we are heading as a company. The morale in the office is just so low at the moment especially seeing one resignation after another. The HQ is in Sydney and this company is very "Sydney centric" focused. I think over the last 3 years I have been with the company, the clients came down to see us more than the upper management did.

Let's give you an example. We are going to move out of the current office (which is our Client's project office) in a few weeks' time but no one from upper management had formally informed us about that. We are supposed to be a communication company but it seems like the management simply lack the capability to communicate with its own employees. -

ahh.. my department has become desensitised to this already...
from the ministry to our department, and from our own HR to the normal people..
the ministry leaves us out of everything... ALL other departments get extra remuneration for things which we are also involved in, we're left out.. they get restructured and given new buildings & clubhouses, we don't.. their pay structure gets improved, we're left out... but when it comes to work, we're expected to "pull our weight".. when some other department screws up, we usually end up taking the blame...
HR is a the ministry's stooge as they are not in the same scheme as we are, so their rights and pay has already be fought for.... they go to the meetings and say nothing... we're not told of anything to the stage where the no.1 asked us "you didn't know?" and we didn't... even when we're Corporate Comms.. HR declined to tell us to circulate the news..
what i figure is that we're just the redheaded stepchild and they are managing us with the "Mushroom Treatment".. kept in the dark and fed shit
oh well... in the end, even when i like the job, the constant drudge of it all has reduced it to.. "it's a paycheque generator"
