I love how there are so many Singapore and Malaysian products available in the grocery shops here. I've found Glory's Kaya, Glory's Nyonya Sambal and Anchovies Sambal, Kimball's Chilli Sauce, Chicken Brand Peanut Oil, Yeo's Sauces, Maggi Instant Noodles and Sauces, etc. There are also frozen fish / prawn / meat balls from Singapore.![]()
Did you just visit Melbourne?Originally posted by sbst275:Anyway...
@ Penguin Parade should have taken pic of that signboard
It says sort of this... Look out for penguins underneath your vehicles bef you leave
Goodness, they can be anywhere

I may find rodents cute (inclusive of chinchillas) but I'm afraid they may bite so I doubt I will keep them
At the same time, shrews have very short lives
YesOriginally posted by Rhonda:Did you just visit Melbourne?I assume you're talking about the Philip Island Penguin Parade?
Yeah, they can be everywhere! They are very small and very cute! Some of them are indecisive as well. It's very funny to see a group waddle up with confidence with one lagging behind, then suddenly, it decides it's too scared so it runs quickly back to the water!

One penguin strayed from it's group and was walking up to my colleague and I (we were sitting on the beach). We held our breaths, hoping not to scare the little one. Then, some (*@#)*(&!@# PRC tourists had to run down the stairs like a noisy herd of hippos exclaiming in Chinese, "Penguins! Penguins!!"Scared off the little fella!

I seeOriginally posted by Rhonda:The penguins are really cute! They return to their homes with a dogged determination. Every night, it takes them a while to be convinced that it's safe to get out of the waters before they start their sporadic parade, but once they do, they're quite fast!
You can see the different characters of the penguins - from the scaredy cats to the indecisive ones to the leaders!![]()
I think all the penguins there suffer from STML (Short-Term Memory Loss) because EVERY FREAKIN' NIGHT, they do the same walk up the same beach and face the same crowds and yet, EVERY FREAKIN' NIGHT, they will do the same hesitation ritual!Originally posted by sbst275:Yes![]()
Yeah, saw 1 group of them... 6 of them together waiting for each other at the beach
They're really shy
honeymouse said the other day that Australia DVD's are PAL whereas Singapore ones are NTSC. I didn't know that so when I went home to check, she's right - it's the PAL format here.Originally posted by ShrodingersCat:heyy rhonda... are u .. already back in Singapore?
