Yeah, the koalas are facing extinction. Every year, huge forest fires wipe out large numbers of them cause they are too slow to escape the fires.
There was a koala shelter set up this year to rescue the chao-dar aka burnt koalas. It was like a Koala Burns Ward. The poor buggers looked so sorry with singed fur and bandaged paws and all.
Too bad the Koala Hospital is too far away otherwise I'd love to volunteer there too.

I dreamt of a large albino / golden python swallowing people up. The dream interpretation site has "Snakes", "Anaconda" and "Boa Constrictors". Wondering if pythons can be under "Anaconda" as well?

when i was thr i only took the tram cos it's too far to walk to the zoo! the rest of the places we just walked and walked... it's FASTER cos by the time the tram ARRIVE i think i walk thr liao lor

Trams are messy business - they result in a mess of wires criss-crossing everywhere! Unsightly. You can't take a decent photo of certain places without seeing the tram lines everywhere.Originally posted by elindra:Why do we need trams for?

Trams are also difficult to install and expand the lines. Unlike buses, you can't just one day decide to add a new tram route in a new area with no existing rails and tram lines.
Trams are disruptive to traffic. Everytime a tram stops, the cars all have to stop as well otherwise, passengers getting on and off the trams will be bulldozed.
The tram stops here can be right in the middle of busy roads!!
I felt like a sitting duck, praying that no drunk / drugged driver will decide to do some bulldozing whilst I'm there! -
