Thought I heard someone on this forum complained about people bringing kids to the Phantom and the kids were running around during the performance. Wonder why kids are allowed in the first place?!
Luckily in Australia, we don't have that problem. Everyone knows how to behave themselves. Most people dress/suit up to go to the theatre. People treat it as a formal outing. Also, it's not cheap either, cost about $102 for a good seat.
Tickets here aren't cheap either
And it pisses me off when I pay $150 for a ticket and the person who paid $150 for the ticket as well treats the whole damn thing like a cinema trip and spoils it for everyone -

This reminds me when SO and I took a bus from the airport home and this guy was trying to impress upon his date what a 'birdstrike' is
Well, it's apparent he didn't know what it is and he told his date something like the bird nose diving to hit a plane coz it feels threatened or something
Chris couldn't hold back his laughter and started laughing out loud -
bloody wrote to them at least 3 times to bring their bloody NRIC to get clearance into a restricted place... informed the group leader 3 other times, told the guy in charge 4 times (twice verbally), and two out of the twenty of them "no one told me" and didn't bring their ICs...
i told them outright "i'm not going to do anything about this because this is not the jurisdiction of my organisation and i cannot impose anything on them.. besides, i've already told all of you"
the two then kena tekan by the rest of the group..
i told them outright, by insisting on joining in, i can't stop you from trying to talk to the security fellas.. but know this.. if they let you in, they can get into a lot of trouble from their superiors...
they went and somehow talked the security fellas into giving them passes.. i bet it's them throwing names of MPs and Mini-stars (they are Grassroots asswipes)...
they then wanted to "write letters of compliment" for the security fellas... which i then tekan them some more... "not content to talking them into breaching security for yourselves, you now want to get them into trouble by telling their bosses about this?? think!! think before you do such things!!"
they were kinda stunned... in their little world, they never think of the consequences of their actions, their only thoughts are to get their way and to appease their guilty consciences.. damn everyone else..Originally posted by av98m:what did you do -

BTW, I had a splendid time correcting people mispronouncing les miserables and factual errors(but only those trying to show off to their girlfriends, spouses, whatever)
It helped that I read the entire unabridged 1,000++++ page monstrousity of the novel by Victor Hugo, that the musical is based on. -
